On the day of the job, requested money for materials and payment into a personal account., I should have listened to my instincts. Job remains unfinished, no evidence of what has been done despite promises to provide videos. No receipt.

I have been a professional roofer for 38 years started on schools then worked my way on to ministry of defence. Now I just enjoy doing domestic and commercial roofs.
Avoid Wayne from Blackwell Roofing. He quoted £380 based on photos, then came to view the job from the ground—no proper inspection. He later climbed a ladder with no safety gear, started tearing down fascia, then suddenly claimed the job was £1,600. When I asked him to stop, he became aggressive, shouting and throwing tools and wood down dangerously. I felt threatened and unsafe in my own home. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and intimidating. Do not hire him.

Initial service was great. But grass that was laid hasn’t last a year with a lot of patches and bits that have died. I watered and cut the grass regularly as I trusted but the grass just hasn’t lasted.
