We are a period/listed property restoration company. We specialise in traditional materials and methods. Often our work is to Identity and rectify damp issues which arise from the use of modern materials on period properties where breathable materials are imperative for the buildings features and characteristics to function. Once the breathability of the property is compromised damp issues will occur. We offer damp assessments for your property with a full report to guide you in the right direction eradicating current and future damp issues. Our assessments cost: £140 including guidance and a full report which details the source(s) of the damp & mould, how to eradicate the issues. - Lime rendering & plastering with horse hair. - Lime pointing. - Masonry repairs. - Paint removal using the Thermatech hot steam cleaning system. - Brick/stone feature walls. - lime wash - Breathable Painting. - lime plaster/render We often work with conservation officers from the authorities to ensure our works are of the highest standards.

I started out after leaving college with electrical installation and appliance repair, auto electrical work, alarm fitting, mainly fault finding and rectification with a strong sense of where problems are possible and the personality of being able to sort most issues out quickly and with the least time and disruption for all parties involved. Previous work has included listed buildings, churches, The bank of England, M O D Whitehall, country estate maintenance and security. A large volume of diverse experiance in many trades. I am extremely neat and tidy in my work, and have very high standards. I have worked for the Royal Household designing and fitting lighting for the queen in St James palace. Not a bad job overall. A few negatives: changed shower screen spec without consultation with the client. Did not provide floor protection initially. After first day, did not clear up or remove large amount of dust. During evening of first day, water pipe joint sprung a leak. Turned out a push-on connector was not fitted properly. Client had to turn the water supply off. Some finishing not good. Outside tap left at an inconvenient angle.
