However, I needed the job to be done asap and Patrick has broken his ankle so I went with another gardening service. He took the time to explain everything in detail so I understood what he would be doing. He gave a very reasonable price, less than what others had quoted, and while here, he looked at another problem door. He has ordered the part for that and will return at a later date to fix that also. He was able to answer all the questions I had. He is now my new window fixer.

We confirmed the price and scope of works in writing and he confirmed back to start and finish over the bank holiday. Our client had arranged to stay elsewhere. The day before he was due to start, he cancelled with a lame excuse. Totally left us looking very stupid and the client very upset. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

James was hired to fit 5 internal doors. It took him 3 days, and the work was careless, lazy, and full of mistakes, excuses, lies and frustration. He blamed the doors, house, locks, anything but himself. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after he left I was able to fix —by myself— issues that he tried to gaslight me into believing it was the best possible outcome. I suspect his "27 years of experience" was made up, and the problem was nothing but absolute lack of skill, care and work ethic.

I have no issue with the work they did, but they should routinely carry cleaning equipment such as brooms, dustpan and brush and a vacuum cleaner. They should not need to use mine, or ask me for a bucket to mix up plaster in. Finally they really should take their rubbish away or tell their clients the price does not include rubbish removal. Putting it in my neighbour’s bin and on my garden is unacceptable.
