AVOID. Job: Replace leaky leaky asbestos garage roof, replace garage door, increase roof height, board the interior and fit electrics for lighting and power points. Hired as seemed like a nice guy, was helpful during the quoting process. However job is a disaster. Waste of £4k - Garage roof leaks - Walls leak - Boarding basically thick cardboard and now soggy - Garage door won't close - Screws poking out everywhere - Unsafe for electrics Not responding to my texts or answering my calls.

Last year my company went limited I’ve done over 5 years in college and university I have my level 2 & 3 in carpentry and joinery (city and guilds) and I also have my degree in construction management (Bsc). I’m new to this platform but not new in the trade I have an eye for detail and no corners are cut I aim to do a job as though it was my own. Early Communication wasn't great. Failed to mention that job only done Evenings & Weekends as in full time work - Only advised after old suite removed. Quality of work was good but finishing touches let him down a bit. Had to wash off tile adhesive from ceiling and paint it myself. Felt rushed towards end of job. Initially said rubbish would be cleared - half way through job advised he could find someone to clear it but would be extra fee!

At the time the work was done in August we were satisfied. Albeit the work was left unfinished as he didn't exactly complete what he agreed to, to our satisfaction. I was back at work myself as the work ran over the 5 days agreed. Looking at it right now, the standard was poor, surfaces were not smoothed off and marks left everywhere. The main damp corner has now come back damp as when the work was commissioned. Disappointing really as now looks like we have been taken for fools for 700 notes.
