Ahmad and his team installed carpet for us in four rooms, two sets of stairs and a landing. They also moved furniture and trimmed down doors to fit. I have worked on a sub-contract basis for a reputable local company for over thirty-five years. My main trades are partitioning, fitting kitchens and bathrooms including plumbing, floor and wall tiling and decorating. I'm also experienced in other trades such as fitting laminate flooring and decking, carpentry and plasterboarding walls and ceilings. I believe it takes no longer to do a good job than it does to do a poor one. I had a High school education and attained o-levels in English, Maths, Geography and Technical drawing. I also am a qualified first aider and I take a refresher course every three years.
Richard did a superb job in putting up shelves, coat rails and curtains for us. He was bang on time, efficient and an absolute pro. He was also an absolutely lovely chap too, a pleasure to talk to and I felt completely comfortable leaving him to work while I worked upstairs. I couldn't recommend Richard highly enough.

Andrew is a nice guy and does quality work, but for kitchen tiling I am afraid to say is very slow; approx 4 tiles per hour (100x200mm) or 0.8 sq m a day (10 hours). I personally (a diy'er) can do 15 tiles an hour - i.e. 4 times faster. £250 at day is expensive. (My electrician is £175 a day) I ended up capping the job at £600 and decided to complete tiling and grouting myself after 3 days. I would not have hired Andrew if I knew he was this slow and as a result expensive.
