IKEA furniture construction services £17.50 per hour. Minimum call out charge £40 Special day rate £115 - 7.5 hours Packing services £20 per hour. Minimum call out charge £70 Special day rate £190 - 7.5 hours Specialist/ Large scale Removal jobs: If I need to hire a MWB the rough rate is £40 per hour. With a minimum charge of £70.00. Came very quickly and completed the job (like-for-like electric shower replacement) satisfactorily, my only gripe is the price/cost. Said it would be about £250 - £350 at the start, on completion of the job the price had gone up to £480 and he wanted it in cash. Not much I could do when the job's finished and the guy's standing in the house wanting to be paid. On reflection I feel I have been overcharged and should have waited for the other responses to come in but needed it doing.
